Sales Manager
Suffolk County New Car Franchise Dealership is seeking to hire an experienced Sales Manager to lead our new car sales team!
We are looking for a proven automotive Sales Manager who has the ability to lead, motivate, and drive a successful new car sales department.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing the daily sales operation, driving sales performance, developing salespeople, maintaining strong closing ratios, and ensuring all OEM and dealership processes are followed.
The right candidate must be a strong leader who can manage people, control the sales floor, desk deals, follow up, and monitor internet and showroom traffic, and work closely with upper management to maximize profitability.
Excellent TO skills are a must!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily deal flow, desking, structuring, and profitability
- Lead and hold sales staff accountable through coaching and sales meetings
- Oversee CRM usage, customer follow‑up, and lead management
- Manage and align BDC performance with sales objectives
- Supervise inventory levels, pricing, turn, and merchandising
- Drive lease penetration and retention strategies
- Coordinate with marketing on promotions, imagery, and OEM compliance
- Review reporting, performance metrics, and OEM benchmarks
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent understanding of CRM, leasing, inventory, and lender processes
- Ability to meet OEM standards and drive consistent results
