Parts Counter Personnel

 

Kia of Huntington located on Jericho Tpke Huntington, NY is seeking to hire an experienced Auto Parts Counter Person. We have a busy shop and we need help now!

Position Summary:

 As a Parts Counter Person at Kia of Huntington, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support in the parts department. You will be responsible for assisting customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying and ordering automotive parts and accessories for Kia vehicles. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously at the parts counter.
  • Assist customers in identifying and locating automotive parts and accessories for Kia vehicles.
  • Provide accurate price quotes and availability of parts to customers and service personnel.
  • Process parts orders efficiently and accurately using dealership software systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts counter area, ensuring all displays are stocked and well-presented.
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate part orders and timely repairs.
  • Assist with inventory management, including regular stock checks and parts replenishment.
  • Follow dealership policies and procedures regarding parts sales, returns, and warranties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, particularly for Kia vehicles, is desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including dealership software systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy automotive parts as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • This position primarily works indoors at the dealership’s parts counter.
  • It may require occasional lifting of heavy automotive parts.
  • Regular interaction with customers, Service Advisors, and other dealership personnel.
  • Flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, may be required.

  • Salary range of $55K-$65K per year based on experience/ this is a commission based of opportunity
