Sales Professional

 

Van Buren GMC, located at 2257 Jericho Tpke Garden, City Park, NY seeking to hire a Sales Professional.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a proven track record in the automotive industry. If you’re a highly motivated individual with great communication (written and verbal) skills who strives for results with a positive outlook, then this is the job for you!

Sales Associate Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features; taking test drives, comparing and contrasting competitive models; explaining warranties and services
  • Maintain a high CSI score
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
  • Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories, inventory, and their benefits to consumers
  • Establish personal goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals
  • Learn to overcome objections; negotiate price, complete sales, lease, or purchase agreements
  • Produce sales management information by completion
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values with all interactions between customers, co-workers, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Sales experience is preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written (Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus)
  • A desire to work in a commission and performance-based environment
  • Great attitude with a high-energy personality
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • General Motors dealer experience is a plus
  • An individual must be goal-oriented, self-motivated, team-oriented, well organized, with strong attention to detail, and possess solid communication skills
  • Experience with CDK and Microsoft Excel is a plus
  • Clean driving record and be able to pass pre-employment background/drug screenings.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
