Sales Professional
Van Buren GMC, located at 2257 Jericho Tpke Garden, City Park, NY seeking to hire a Sales Professional.
We are looking for an experienced candidate with a proven track record in the automotive industry. If you’re a highly motivated individual with great communication (written and verbal) skills who strives for results with a positive outlook, then this is the job for you!

Sales Associate Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features; taking test drives, comparing and contrasting competitive models; explaining warranties and services
- Maintain a high CSI score
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
- Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories, inventory, and their benefits to consumers
- Establish personal goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals
- Learn to overcome objections; negotiate price, complete sales, lease, or purchase agreements
- Produce sales management information by completion
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values with all interactions between customers, co-workers, and vendors
Qualifications:
- Sales experience is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written (Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus)
- A desire to work in a commission and performance-based environment
- Great attitude with a high-energy personality
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- General Motors dealer experience is a plus
- An individual must be goal-oriented, self-motivated, team-oriented, well organized, with strong attention to detail, and possess solid communication skills
- Experience with CDK and Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Clean driving record and be able to pass pre-employment background/drug screenings.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
