Service Manager

Volkswagen of Smithtown located @ 530 East Jericho Turnpike, St. James, NY, is seeking to hire a Service Manager. Prior German experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

As Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations, profitability, employee management, and customer satisfaction within our Service Department. We’re looking for a results-driven leader who can build a strong team, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain manufacturer standards.

If you are a seasoned Service Advisor and have prior German manufacturer experience and are looking to take a step up, you need to apply as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Has a strong knowledge of Fixed Operations metrics and understands how to drive the business
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above factory/company standards
• Oversees the training and development of Service Department employees
• Oversees compliance with all warranty policies and procedures
• Reinforces company policies and adheres to manufacturers’ standards
• Ensures that the Service Department is compliant with applicable laws and regulations
• Maintains a good working relationship with the factory
• Maintains excellent employee relations
• Detail-oriented / communicate effectively with our customers and our employees
• Proven track record of achieving goals

Job Requirements:

• Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction (CSI) results
• Team-oriented
• Valid in-state driver’s license
• Excellent references

We will provide you with the following:

• Salary $175K -$200K + per year / This is a commission-based opportunity
