Service Director

High-volume General Motors Dealer located in Suffolk County is looking to hire an experienced Service Director to lead and manage their service department.

We have a very busy shop and are seeking a candidate who has a minimum of at least (3) years of managerial experience. 

The candidate that we are seeking to hire will have full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and profitability of the Service Department. This individual will ensure compliance with manufacturers’ standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience and developing a high-performing and profitable service organization.

We are seeking to hire a candidate who has the following skill set:

• Strong motivational, leadership, and communication skills
• Oversee all Service Department operations and provide coverage as needed to ensure uninterrupted service
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded and properly handled
• Hire, train, and develop staff into top-of-the-line automotive service staff
• Create goals for the departments and assist the dealerships in achieving those goals
• Ensure that all staff have completed any relevant training and have the proper certifications
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on CSI
• Ensure prompt, effective resolution of customer complaints, maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction
• Create budgets and keep track of expenses
• Strong ability to monitor, implement & maintain all systems and processes
• Monitor Service department performance with key metrics, including revenue, profitability & efficiency
• Ensure adherence to safety & compliance objectives.

1. High Compensation / $175K-$200K per year / This is a commission-based opportunity
