Automotive Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Automotive Dispatcher to join our team. Job Summary: As an Automotive Dispatcher at Mercedes Benz of Smithtown, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the performance of our flat-rate technicians, ensuring they complete their assigned tasks promptly and proficiently. While experience with the CDK program is preferred, it is not required, as we provide training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch flat-rate technicians to repair Mercedes Benz vehicles and ensure their efficient use of time.
• Monitor and manage technician workloads to optimize productivity.
• Ensure technicians have the necessary tools and equipment for each job.
• Collaborate with service advisors and the BDC to prioritize and schedule repair and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of technician assignments and completed work.
• Provide guidance and support to technicians when needed.
• Assist in resolving any issues or obstacles that may hinder technician efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in dispatching, automotive service is a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills; experience with the CDK program is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency.
