Service Director

 

Stoler Lexus, located at 2090 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale, NY, is seeking to hire a true leader who can inspire and motivate a team and has a strong understanding of how to enhance both customer satisfaction and departmental profitability.

The ideal candidate must be organized, highly motivated, and have a diplomatic leadership style. We’re looking for a high-caliber individual who will grow with us and foster a positive work environment for our employees.

A proven track record of building good teams and CSI are significant components of our evaluation process. Candidates must have a stable work history as a Service Department Manager or Director serving for more than 3+ years consecutively. Prior high-line experience is preferred but not mandatory.

We are seeking to hire candidates who have the following skills:

  • Supervise daily operations of the service department, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources
  • Work closely with sales, parts, and accounting to align with dealership goals and support business development
  • The ability to identify causes of operating errors and the knowledge to create and implement corrective actions
  • Answers technical questions about warranties, services, and repairs
  • Oversees the administration of warranty claims
  • Set schedules/goals to service department employees
  • Reinforce company policies and adhere to manufacturer standards
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, including OSHA guidelines and manufacturer recommendations
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the manufacturer
  • Maintain excellent employee relations/employee retention skills
  • Very organized with exceptional time management skills
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities will include;

  • Oversee the Service Department, Technicians, Service Advisors, Service Call Center, Valet, Detailers, and Service Lane
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Attend Manager meetings and conduct Service Department meetings
  • Must be results-driven, highly energized, and a customer service-oriented leader
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Motivate, train, develop, and reward employees
  • Will communicate with customers about maintenance and service work needed efficiently
