Automotive Controller

Hillside Honda, located at 139-07 Hillside Ave, Jamaica, NY, is looking to hire an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee and manage the dealership’s accounting and financial operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily accounting functions, financial reporting, payroll oversight, compliance with manufacturer and state requirements, and supervising office staff. Strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and prior automotive dealership accounting experience are highly preferred.

If you are an experienced Automotive Office Manager with at least four years of experience and possess the knowledge outlined below, you are also encouraged to apply.

Your responsibilities will include the following;

• Responsible for NYS Sales Tax
• Monthly financial statements, 13th month, and working with accountants
• Bank Reconciliations
• Handle floor plan checks and monthly reconciliation
• Oversee payroll processing
• Responsible for schedules and the general ledger
• Review the general ledger for accuracy
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, and collections
• Strong ability to reconcile accounts and expenses and run reports
• Running background & motor vehicle checks
• Completing new hire employment forms
• All aspects of compliance
• Timely posting & submission of Payroll
• Medical enrollments, terminations, and COBRA
• Address H.R. complaints and requests

 Requirements and Qualifications

• CDK  experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ·Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Solid time management skills; able to prioritize
