Accounts Payable Specialist

Bird Bus Sales located @ 202 Terminal Drive, Plainview, NY is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist.

We are seeking to hire someone that will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner for a multi-company bus dealership.

The following tasks are performed daily, weekly, monthly and are not limited to:

• Matching, coding & posting of invoices to proper GL accounts
• Obtain/sort through vendor invoices and call/email for missing invoices with vendors
• Review accuracy and resolve discrepancies on vendor invoices
• Address vendor concerns/questions
• Submit paid vendor bills in a timely manner to CFO for review
• Review/compare/post purchase orders to parts invoices after resolving any variances
• File posted invoices timely
• Prepare rent checks
• Review c/c statements/including matching of receipts
• Process, enter & pay employee expense reimbursements
• Review/Reconcile monthly vendor statements & compare to posting in DealerTrack
• Run/review monthly accounts payable aging ledger
• Update spreadsheets for monthly payments of certain misc. bills
• Look for opportunities to make suggestions to improve the payables cycle
• Complete special projects, as assigned

Skills;

• Proven work experience in accounts payable
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Dealership/Automotive knowledge
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Knowledge of Dealer Track helpful but not required
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• The ability to multitask and meet hard deadlines
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
