Part-Time Accounting Payable Specialist – Automotive Wholesale (Deer Park, NY)

Alans Autos, a well-established Long Island-based Automotive Wholesale Company located in Deer Park, NY has been serving the industry for over 33 years, is currently seeking a part-time, detail-oriented individual to support our Accounting and DMS operations.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take ownership of their role. This position requires someone with strong accounts payable experience and a solid working knowledge of QuickBooks.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM  / Additional hours may be required occasionally.

NO NIGHTS!!/ NO WEEKENDS!! / CLOSED ALL MAJOR HOLIDAYS

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and QuickBooks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and duplicate charges
• Must be punctual, quick to learn, and possess a strong sense of urgency
• Comfortable multitasking and working independently within a team
• Must have reliable transportation and a clean driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and enter high volumes of invoices into multiple systems with accuracy
• Cross-check and verify entries to catch errors or duplicate charges
• Prepare and manage weekly check runs
• Maintain organized filing systems
• Weekly Commissions for Buyers
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and additional accounting projects as needed
