Automotive Controller
Champion Motors, consisting of Maserati and Alfa Romeo, located on Northern Blvd, Great Neck, a premier luxury automotive dealership, is seeking an Automotive Controller to lead and manage all accounting and financial operations.

Summary:
You will be responsible for the overall financial management of the dealership, including accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This role works closely with ownership, executive management, and department heads to ensure accurate financial performance and strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include the following;
- Oversee all dealership accounting functions, including GL, AP/AR, and cash management
- Responsible for NYS Sales Tax
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of manufacturer financial statements and schedules
- Manage dealership forecasts and financial performance analysis
- Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and expenses
- Oversee floorplan reconciliations, inventory accounting, and vehicle receivables
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
- Perform bank reconciliations, handle floor plan checks, and monthly reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, and collections
- Strong ability to reconcile accounts and expenses and run reports
Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior automotive or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of dealership financial statements and OEM reporting
- Solid time management skills; able to prioritize
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
