Automotive Controller 

Smith Haven Auto Group, a multi line new car franchise dealer consisting of  Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Mazda, located on Middle Country Rd, St. James, NY, is seeking to hire an Automotive Controller.

Your responsibilities will include the following;

• Responsible for NYS Sales Tax
• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and expenses
• Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
• Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies
• Monthly financial statements, 13th month, and working with accountants
• Bank Reconciliations, handle floor plan checks and monthly reconciliation
• Oversee payroll processing
• Responsible for schedules and general ledger
• Review the general ledger for accuracy
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, and collections
• Strong ability to reconcile accounts and expenses and run reports
• All aspects of compliance
• Timely posting & submission of Payroll

 Requirements and Qualifications

• Highly organized multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid time management skills; able to prioritize
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
